Investment Strategy

Our roots are in network and complexity science.  We apply concepts from these disciplines – to the development of which we have contributed - with the help of Machine Learning, assuming that the evolution of firms and technologies contains regularities we can exploit as investors.  We leverage data that is often complex and unstructured, such as text from scientific publications, patents, company reports, and websites.

We seek to make investments in technology startups at scale in order to deliver investors exposure to innovation and entrepreneurship as engines of growth and the associated economic returns.  We can include considerations such as sustainability in our investment process; we can also target specific areas of innovation.
